Words of Appreciation for Arden Courts of Chagrin Falls
As the former business manager for the Little Sisters of the Poor, a religious order of nuns caring for the elderly of limited means, I witnessed for years the high standard of care they demanded for their residents. Our mother previously lived at a well-to-do nationally recognized facility for three years before coming to Arden Courts. How fortunate and blessed we are to have found a third professional yet loving environment dedicated to the unique needs of our mother.
The administrative staff is very friendly and always willing to discuss the latest news of your loved one or quickly address any concerns a family member may have during a visit. From the welcoming nature in the lobby complete with punch and cookies to the colorful and stimulating stations in the central hub of the building, the visitors benefit from the positive energy present almost as much as the residents who live there. The lovely grounds provide an ongoing opportunity to leave the building without the resident having to exert too much effort.
The attentiveness of the direct care staff is evident in their constant interaction with all the residents. Mom had always been more of a solitary intellectual through the years, but in a short amount of time her caregivers found the right combination of people for Mom to dine with at each meal. She is more engaged at Arden Courts… Arden Courts also deserves the highest marks for the specific population they serve – those left vulnerable with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
While adjusting to her environment during the first week, I stayed during lunch to acquaint the staff with her eating habits. Mom always had more of a refined palate. She is very happy with the food, and we have peace of mind knowing she is now part of the Arden Courts family.
